Archie Bradley is targeting a May 16 return to the mound for the Arizona Dbacks as he recovers from taking a come-backer to the face, according to MLB.com.
On April 28, the 22-year-old rookie suffered the injury after a pitch to Colorado’s Carlos Gonzalez was hit right back at him, clocking in at 115 mph, according to the report. It not only knocked Bradley down, but out of the game and straight to the DL.
#Dbacks mgr Chip Hale says Archie Bradley came through sim game good. Had ball hit back up the middle and didn't flinch. Will start Saturday

He did not lose consciousness, but suffered a right sinus fracture. It forced Bradley to miss a few starts. The D-Back will gladly welcome the right-hander back to the rotation, as he had 1.80 ERA in four starts. In his first three starts, he went at least six innings and allowed a combined three earned runs before sustaining the injury early in his fourth start. Along with that, he has a 14/11 K/BB ratio in 20 innings pitched.
Bradley pitched in a few bullpen sessions before a simulated game, where he had no issues.
