Are The Cheeseheads Curdling? Eddie Lacy, James Jones, Randall Cobb & More

After starting 6-0, the Packers have lost two games in a row and their season is now very much in question.

Since the preseason, Green Bay was going to have to overcome adversity as their star wideout Jordy Nelson went down with an ACL injury. Despite this, fans and analysts alike were confident that Aaron Rodgers would be able to carry the team on his back, and for the first six weeks he did. So what's  gone wrong?

For starters, Eddie Lacy has not  been healthy and his inability to produce a legitimate running threat makes Green Bay one-dimensional. Normally this wouldn't be that much of a problem, but the truth is that the passing game has not been as  lethal as it has been in the past either.

Jordy Nelson was a big time deep threat and sure-handed receiver and his play opened up the field for receivers like Randall Cobb underneath. Cobb is still a good receiver, but he's getting most of the defensive attention. James Jones is just a big target, Davante Adams is a young, stone-handed receiver who hasn't been healthy, and there is no tight-end safety net for Rodgers this year.

The defense hasn't been great either of  late and this was capitalized when frustrations boiled over and push literally came to shove on the sidelines between some of the Green Bay defenders. So with all this being said, can the Packers stop their mini tailspin?

The answer is yes. James Starks seems to have provided the Packers some semblance of a ground attack now. This will help take some heat off Rodgers and allow him to play more like he did in the second half against Carolina. Davante Adams finally looked passable as a pro, although he did drop a touchdown pass in the endzone. Cobb caught some deep passes and looked healthy.

If Richard Rodgers can continue to develop as a receiving tight-end, this also give Aaron Rodgers another weapon to help overwhelm the defense. So don't jump ship on Green Bay just yet; they may have gotten some stuff figured out, and that is very scary for the rest of the league.
