Bad Boy Off Road 300: Daily Fantasy NASCAR DraftKings DFS Lineup Picks

It was Martin Truex Jr. and the Furniture Row Racing team who used a late pit call and four fresh tires to propel themselves to victory and into the next round. That leaves 15 other drivers that will be turning up the intensity this Sunday for the Bad Boy Off Road 330 from New Hampshire Motor Speedway.

The track is  a 1.058 mile oval intermediate track that is one of the flattest on the circuit with just 12° of banking in the corners. It is often compared Phoenix so when making tie breaker decisions between drivers I will often turn to those results as well. Track position is important but there have been winners from outside the Top 10 like Matt Kenseth winning from the 18th starting position in July. I will also be looking closely at the differential between qualifying and the final two practices to identify some place differential value. I have added these columns to my cheatsheet if you would like to pick up a copy.

If you have any questions leading up to the race be sure to join the conversation in the chat below. I will also be sharing a link to a cheatsheet I developed and use weekly to help reduce research time. The cheatsheet includes driver salaries, track history(last 5 years), current form(last 5 races), Season Loop Data, and I also provide updated practice and qualifying rankings with a weighted system to rank all drivers. The cheatsheet and lineups will be updated throughout the weekend so be sure to follow me on Twitter and check your emails for lineup updates.  Check out the link in the chat room below and feel free to ask me any questions leading up to the race.

Daily Fantasy NASCAR: DraftKings DFS  Lineup Picks

Favorite to win: Kevin Harvick ($10,700)

He got unlucky in the opening race at Chicago when he got caught on pit road when the caution flag came out which trapped him a lap down for an extended period of time. He ended up finishing 20th and will now need a win or two good races to advance into the second round. His poor qualifying effort(19th) this weekend at New Hampshire makes him an elite play with place differential value. He was 9th in both final practices.

Upper Tier Value: Denny Hamlin ($9,300)

HE shows up as the top value play in my overall model this week that takes all factors into account. He has a win, three Top 5's, five Top 10's and 421 laps led(2nd in series) over the last 10 races here at New Hampshire. He is also coming in with the best five race form with a win and five straight Top 10 finishes. He qualified 5th and was 4th and 2nd in the final two practices. Oh ya. He also comes in at a low $9K price tag and is safe in all formats this week.

Mid Tier Value: Kasey Kahne ($7,400)

Despite not making the post season, Kasey Kahne has shown Top 10 speed and the ability tho push the Chase racers. He is going through his best stretch of the season with three straight 7th place finishes or better and once again looks fast here at New Hampshire. He qualified 9th for the race and was 13th and 3rd in the final two practices. The price is right and the upside is there making him an excellent tournament play this weekend.

Place Differential GPP Value: Greg Biffle ($7,200)

Another mid tier value play due to his qualifying effort on Friday. He will be starting back in 32nd and should easily be able to put up a Top 25 here at New Hampshire. He has a nice +15 value on the spreadsheet due to a 10th and 24th rank in the final two practices and also has some track history here. He has one career win(2008) and in the last 10 races has four Top 5's and five Top 10 finishes.

Also Consider: Kyle Larson ($9,100)

After sitting on the bubble for much of the last few months of the regular season, Kyle Larson made a big surge into the Chase. He won at Michigan to lock in his spot then finished 3rd at Darlington and 2nd at Richmond and entered the Chase with tremendous momentum. He had to start from the rear at Chicago and ended up with a disappointing 18th place finish. He looks to be taking out his frustrations out on the track as he finished each of the three practices this weekend as the fastest car. He will be starting 6th on Sunday and will have a winning car to try and get back in tot he hunt.
