ANALYSIS: We all love to watch the guy hit, but, as funny as that is, he's no joke on the mound. No one is going to confuse Bartolo Colon for his four running mates in the Mets' rotation. However, Colon can still get the job done. He pounds the strike zone, and right now he is providing his team and fantasy owners with a stable back-end pitching option.
Colon tends to do well early in the season and his 2.13 ERA and 2.33 FIP so far show that. He's 1-1 in two starts this season too, and is worth streaming given the right matchups. He's just keeping the seat warm for Zack Wheeler anyway, but you should enjoy the ride in the meantime. He's also put up a surprising 9.24 K/9 ratio through his first two starts which gives him even more value, since he usually has to pitch more to contact. It might not last, but you could still do a lot worse.
