BALLER MOVE: Add in Deeper Leagues / All 2QB Leagues
Owned in 14% of Fleaflicker Leagues
ANALYSIS: Rookie phenom Blake Bortles finally got his chance to play today, after the Jaguars decided to bench Chad Henne at halftime. Many people have been waiting for this, to see how Bortles can perform on the NFL level and for fantasy football owners as well. Given the circumstances, he played pretty well (significantly better than anything Henne has done this year), and the Jaguars have already stated that Bortles will be their starter for the remainder of the season. After coming into the game with the Jaguars being shutout, Bortles was able to produce some points racking up 223 passing yards and 2 touchdowns - completing 14-of-24 pass attempts. The Jaguars are not a good football team, but Bortles automatically makes them better. He will also improve any chance of fantasy relevance for Cecil Shorts, Allen Hurns, Allen Robinson and even Toby Gerhart. He's worth a waiver wire pickup and stash in deeper leagues if you have the roster room, and is still widely available in 86% of leagues. He's most likely already owned in 2QB leagues, but just in case he isn't he's a priority add off the waiver wire for Week 4. At the very least, it should be exciting for the NFL and fantasy football owners to see what Bortles can do over the next few weeks.
