BALLER MOVE: Target off Waiver Wire (Current ADP: Undrafted)
ANALYSIS: Any running back in Bill Belichick's offense has potential to be a fantasy sleeper. Brandon Bolden is no exception to this rule, even sitting behind Stevan Ridley and Shane Vereen on the current depth chart, and also competing with rookie RB James White for playing time. Both Ridley and Vereen could have big seasons, leaving the 220 lb. Bolden on the sideline. At the same time, if even one of those guys has any injury, fumble issues, or any other reason Belichick can think of to bench them, the door opens for the sturdy Bolden to step into an early down role. ESPN points out that Bolden has never fumbled in his 130+ touches, and if Ridley has the type of fumbling issues that he has had in the past, Bolden could easily step in to a flex role in deep leagues. Bolden is not a huge TD threat, nor is he likely to start ahead of either Ridley or Vereen at first, but he may be a guy to keep an eye on as the season begins. Even if he is not viable now, that doesn't mean that he wont be later (Case in point: LeGarrette Blount's 2013 season).
