The Milwaukee Brewers activated Khris Davis from the 15-day DL and will start him in left field on Tuesday against the Atlanta Braves, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
Davis will bat seventh behind Aramis Ramirez, finally making his return after a torn meniscus in his right knee forced him to miss almost a month and a half. Before the injury, Davis had a .250/.337/.446 batting line with 5 HR and 16 RBI over 46 games. Davis completed a rehab assignment with Triple-A Colorado.
Davis, 27, is in his third MLB season. Last season was his first full season in the majors. He had a .244 BA with 22 HR and 69 RBI.
The 36-49 Brewers are coming off having their eight-game winning streak snapped by the Braves on Monday. Davis is a potential player in the future plans of the Brew-Crew while rookie, Tyler Cravy, will make his MLB debut on Tuesday on the mound for Milwaukee.
Reliever David Goforth has been optioned back to Class AAA Colorado Springs.
