Bryan Reynolds (OF, PIT) - Week 19 Waiver Wire Pickups

BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ Team Leagues

OWNED IN: 29% of Yahoo! leagues

ANALYSIS:

If Reynolds isn’t owned in a league of yours, do yourself a favor and go pick him up. The switch-hitting rookie has been phenomenal and appears to only be getting better as he acclimates to major league pitching. He now has 14 hits in his last 11 games and the Pirates knocked him in 10 of those times, leading to 16 RBI/R. He’s been dominant against righties, sporting a .406 wOBA on top of his nine home runs and 22 doubles. He’s not bad against lefties, either, sporting a .321 wOBA with 1/3 of his power coming from the right side.

If you’re looking for a negative, it would be this Pirates lineup overall. They rank 22nd in terms of run production and mightily struggle vs lefties. With that said, they picked it up in July and hit the top 10 for the first time all year. If they can keep it up, Reynolds will continue getting to hit with runners on-base and will have Marte and Bell following him. He’s eligible at multiple positions and is a guy I wouldn’t want on a foe of mines team. I’d be tempted to add him in any league, but a 12+ is a must.
