Mark Buehrle could win his fifth career Gold Glove since he’s one of the American League finalist for the great pitching defense he provided this season.
The Toronto Blue Jays starting pitcher won four straight Gold Gloves from 2009-2012. Buehrle hasn’t won the award in three years while a different pitcher has won the award.
It was another solid season for the 36-year-old left-hander. Buehrle went 15-8 with a 3.81 ERA for the AL East Champions. A fifth Gold Glove award would be another great mark in his 16-year career.
Okaland A’s start Sonny Gray and Houston Astros Dallas Keuchel are the two other finalist for the Gold Glove. Keuchel won the award last year and very well could win it again to go along with a possible Cy Young award after going 20-8 with a 2.48 ERA.
The winner will be revealed on Nov. 10.
