Baller Move: Add in all leagues
Owned in: 40% of Fleaflicker leagues
Analysis: Let's get one thing clear: a .214 BA and 31.7% strikeout rate would send most Fantasy Baseball Managers running. However, they may turn back and salivate if that player happens to be slugging .455 with nine home runs and an isolated power figure of .241, as in the case of Byung-ho Park. Park may swing and miss frequently, but as told by his isolated power, he swings for the fences; and when he connects, the ball leaves the park.
He has understandably hit better outside of Target Field with an away OPS of .801, but he has been severely unlucky at home. In 72 AB in Minnesota, he has hit five home runs and is slugging .458, but his BA and OBP sit at just .194 and .244 respectively. Those low numbers could be in large part due to a BABIP of .196, whereas his away BABIP of .333 contributes to his solid away OBP of .349. Park has fantastic power, so much so that it doesn't matter that he strikes out a lot. However, as we can also tell, his BA and OBP are destined to take a turn for the better, so 60% of Managers have a chance to grab a bargain off of the waivers.
