ANALYSIS: C.J. Miles, who saw significant minutes for a depleted Indiana team last season, is a versatile under-the-radar player. He is a scoring threat when he receives minutes, and he is on track in this young NBA season to achieve a career high in minutes per game (28.0 MPG).

It is no secret that Miles does not provide much in the way of assists or rebounds, as he averaged 3.1 RPG and 1.1 APG in last year's campaign. That places a ceiling on Miles' overall fantasy production. However, when one focuses solely on his scoring output, the picture brightens considerably.

Miles averaged a career-high 13.5 PPG last season, and is currently on track to average an astounding 18.0 PPG. Is that sustainable? Of course not, but given his increased minutes, Miles will most likely fall softly back to earth with an average of approximately 14.0 or 15.0 PPG.

Additionally, Miles provides extreme lineup flexibility with the ability to slide seamlessly in to the SG, SF, G, F, or UTIL position in fantasy leagues. He will never be a double-double machine, but with lineup versatility and a propensity to score, Miles is an intriguing option on the waiver wire.

Bottom line: He will provide a scoring boost and not much else, but the upside of the boost should be enough to offset any potential damage created by his lack of assist and rebounding production.
