ANALYSIS: Cameron Artis-Payne was the Panthers' 5th round selection out of the University of Auburn, yet people were already talking about his potential impact for fantasy football managers. Why is this? This is because everyone knows Jonathan Stewart is a yearly injury risk, and this has been proven yet again.

After receiving just three carries in the two weeks he played, Payne received eight carries for 25 yards on Sunday while Stewart was still tender. Given the fact that there are so many weak rushing defenses in the Panthers' division, and the fact that Payne is the undisputed bell cow if Stewart goes down, fantasy football managers should count on history to repeat itself in the form of another Stewart injury. If that happens, expect Payne to get a lot of carries and watch his YPC go up by average with each down.
