ANALYSIS: Tampa Bay Rays outfielder Carlos Gomez has appeared on this list numerous times over the past couple years due to his power/speed combination. While he is no longer going to hit 20 homers and steal 40 bases in a season as he did in 2013, Gomez still possesses the tools. To start 2018, he has a line of .195/5/18/8/3, but there are reasons for optimism for the 32-year-old.

In 118 games last year, he had 13 homers and 18 steals. In 115 games the prior year, he posted 12 and 17. As his 2018 line shows, he is a good option for power and speed and can produce some runs, but he is likely to hurt you in the batting average department.
