Carlos Gonzalez On The Trade Block: OF Red-Hot Right Now

Colorado Rockies outfielder Carlos Gonzalez is now on the trading block after the Troy Tulowitzki trade on Monday.

Gonzalez, 29, only has two more years on his contract worth $37 million. The Rockies' asking price could be high for the outfielder who is in the prime of his career despite battling some injuries. CarGo wouldn't be a rental because he'll likely stay with the team he's traded to for the next few years.

"They expect to move him," one GM told CBS Sports.

Gonzalez has been one of the better outfields in MLB over the last few years. He has 20 HR with 51 RBI and a .278 BA in 2015. He has three Gold Gloves and made two straight All-Star teams in 2012 and 2013, which was followed by an injury-plagued season last year. During his two All-Star seasons, he had a combined 48 HR 155 RBI, 41 SB and over a .300 BA.

There might not be a better time to land Gonzalez than right now. He's on fire with 14 hits in his last six games and 7 HR and 15 RBI in those six games.
