BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ Team Leagues
OWNED IN: 11% of leagues
ANALYSIS: The ownership of Toronto second baseman, Cavan Biggio may be at only 11% now but after Monday night's two-homer game, it's sure to continue it's ascent a bit more rapidly. Going 2-for-2 on the night - adding a pair of walks to the two round-trippers - Biggio now has five home runs on the season, along with 11 Runs, seven RBI, and two stolen bases, while slashing .233/.378/.517.
But while he's certainly worth an add, don't read too much into his double-dong night and automatically assume that Biggio is the next big thing that's going to continue his power output. While Biggio's numbers look fantastic right now - in addition to the line from above, he also carries a .283 ISO, .379 wOBA, and a 140 wRC+ - one needs only to look back one night in order to find reasons to temper high-expectations on Biggio. Prior to last night's outburst, he only had a 104 wRC+ and a .325 wOBA, while slashing .207/.343/.397. Perfectly fine numbers for the 24-year old son of Craig over his first 75 PA, but don't start thinking he's the next Ronald Acuna just yet.
While Biggio is no sure-fire future stud, now is a cheap time to pick him up, if only to see if maybe he actually is. With plenty of draft day disappointments currently manning the keystone on many a fantasy roster - Odor, Profar, etc - grabbing Biggio now is a low-cost/high-reward move.
