CBB DFS Elite 8 Lineup Picks - FanDuel Advice for NCAA March Madness (3/28/15)

With March Madness finally here, there is nothing better than a little CBB DFS. Many people fill out brackets for the NCAA college basketball tournament, and DFS games have become increasingly popular as well.

Below are our favorite FanDuel DFS picks for the Elite Eight of the NCAA Tournament, March 28th, 2015. The first three rounds were filled with lots of great games, and hopefully today will be just as fun and exciting, including your DFS games on FanDuel.

Editors Note: If you have not tried out FanDuel 1-day fantasy basketball leagues, RotoBaller offers the best bonuses around. Signup and make a deposit for a new FanDuel account, and receive a 100% bonus on your deposit up to $200.

CBB DFS Players to Target

Karl–Anthony Towns – F, Kentucky - $7,900

Town’s is the best player on the best team. Coming off an extremely disappointing performance, scoring only two points against West Virginia, look for Kentucky to feed Town’s early and establish a rhythm. There is a chance, that Town’s who is over 6’10” will have someone guarding him who is 6’6”. Town’s should easily be able to take advantage of whoever is guarding him and dominate the glass.

Jerian Grant – G, Notre Dame - $9,600

Kentucky is an elite defensive team, but Grant is an elite offensive player. He is very good at getting into the body of big men and drawing fouls. If he can draw some fouls on the Kentucky bigs early then they won’t be so aggressive blocking shots and Grant can feast. Grant also has an extremely impressive mid-range game which means he will not have to attack the trees to score the ball. Grant had eleven assists last game, look for him to continue to spread the ball around if he draws a lot of attention.

CBB DFS Value Plays

Andrew Harrison – G, Kentucky - $5,900

Harrison has been on fire this tournament and I don’t expect him to all of a sudden go cold against a sub-par Notre Dame defense. Notre Dame is going to have to double team Kentucky whenever they pass the ball to the post which means that Harrison will have a lot of wide open threes. It also means that he will easily be able to penetrate the lane and draw fouls, or dish the ball off for some easy assists.

Tyler Ulis – G, Kentucky - $5,500

The back-up point guard for Kentucky has had a very good tournament. He loves to push the pace and has excellent vision. He is also very good at throwing the lob which could be very effective against a much smaller Notre Dame team. When Notre Dame backs off because Ulis is such a good distributor he will just start draining threes and fill up the stat sheet.

CBB DFS Players to avoid

Frank Kaminsky – F, Wisconsin - $9,900

Kaminsky, no surprise, is the most expensive forward for Saturday’s elite eight games. He is extremely versatile and can easily score inside and out. He has had a great tournament so far and Wisconsin has needed him to step up, especially against North Carolina. Unfortunately for Kaminsky though, Arizona has three different players that are long and athletic enough to guard him inside and out. That means that even if Arizona has to switch on a pick, Kaminsky still might not get a favorable matchup. Arizona also does not make mental mistakes on defense which means Kaminsky will not get any cheap open looks on pick and pops.

Pat Connaughton – F, Notre Dame - $7,400

Connaughton is an extremely streaky shooter and against Wichita State, Connaughton was on. He just was not missing. It also helped that Wichita State gave him an enormous amount of wide open looks. Kentucky is much longer and much more disciplined defensively than Wichita State. Look for Kentucky to get in Connaughton’s face early so he cannot establish a rhythm and does not get hot.
