CBB DFS Lineup Picks (3/3/16): Daily Fantasy College Basketball Advice for FanDuel

As the NCAA tournament approaches, the last week of the regular season still has a ton of intrigue left.

RotoBaller has you covered with detailed analysis of the best the CBB DFS slates have to offer.

Without further delay, below are our favorite Daily Fantasy College Basketball picks for FanDuel DFS games for March 3rd, 2016.

CBB DFS Guards to Target on FanDuel

Nic Moore SMU ($8,900)

With SMU being banned from postseason plan, senior Nic Moore will want to make sure his team stays at the top of the American on senior night. The Mustangs point guard is averaging career highs with 16.1 points, 5.3 assists, 2.5 rebounds and 1.4 steals per night which is a great floor for fantasy purposes. When SMU met UCONN a few weeks ago Moore was solid with 14 points, six assists, and four rebounds in 38 minutes. Those minutes are what makes him the top play of the night as Larry Brown could very well reward the guard with a full 40 minutes as a way of thanking him for staying with the program.

Josh Brown Temple ($6,900)

Brown will certainly not wow you with his offensive game as he only has two double figure scoring games in the past 10 outings. That said he is still averaging 22.5 fantasy points per game on the season and scored 26.1 last game despite just two points. Even without much of an offensive game, Brown stays on the floor nearly the entire game with seven games over 35 minutes in the past 10 which has allowed him to rack up a ton of assists and rebounds. Along with this he is a defensive pest with 17 steals in the past 10 games. Because of his low scoring numbers many will pass over him, but Memphis is not a shutdown defensive team so if Brown can squeak out 10+ points he may just hit 35 fantasy points.

Duane Notice South Carolina ($5,600)

Notice has been one of the biggest reason the upstart Gamecocks continue to surprise teams on their way to a likely NCAA tournament bid. He has gotten hot on the offensive end with double figure scoring in five of six games which has translated into 20+ fantasy points in four of those games. The price does come with some concern as Notice does little in terms of defensive stats which limits his upside, but at just $5,600 he simply needs to breach the 20 point barrier to be a solid play.

CBB DFS Forwards to Target on FanDuel

Diamond Stone Maryland ($7,300)

Stone had a huge game with 18 points, five rebounds, four blocks and two steals the other night against Purdue. That is huge when you consider Purdue has a top flight defense led by three defenders at nearly seven feet tall. Tonight the talented freshman gets to face a Illini defense that was thrashed inside but a much small freshman in Jordan Murphy last time out. Stone is not only consistent, with seven straight games over 20 fantasy points, he also has high upside with two games over 35 fantasy points.

Octavius Ellis Cincinnati ($6,900)

The Bearcats big man has turned his rebounding up a notch over the last few weeks, and that has helped him post a stellar three double-doubles over the past five games. Many people will dismiss Ellis and look at his teammate Gary Clark, but it is Ellis who has been equally effective on both ends of the floor the past few weeks. As always Cincinnati plays tough defense which has helped Ellis to record at least one block in four straight while also having a streak of five straight games with a steal in February. Another player with a very nice floor and some tournament upside as well.

Savon Goodman Arizona St ($4,600)

This play is not for the faint of heart as the Arizona State big man could post anything from zero to thirty fantasy points tonight. Box score watchers will simply pass on him due to a 0.4 fantasy point outing two weeks ago, but that was against one of the top defensive frontlines in the country in Arizona. If you disregard that game, Goodman has at least hit double digits for fantasy points in nine of 10 games along with three games over 20 fantasy points. Without a ton of big names on the board most will go with a balanced lineup tonight, which means going stars and scrubs could be profitable and Goodman could be a nice piece of that.
