Baller Move: Pick up in deep, 12-14 team leagues
Owned In: 16% of Fleaflicker Leagues
Analysis: It's hard to want to start anyone on the Houston Texans whose name is not DeAndre Hopkins. However, it can't hurt to keep an eye on the other wide receivers in Houston, especially now that Arian Foster is once again out for the year. And neither Alfred Blue or Chris Polk have been anywhere near effective out of the backfield.
Cecil Shorts has certainly accumulated targets, 45 in five games; an average that, despite the mediocre receptions to go with them, should raise some eyebrows. If targets and receptions mean anything in Houston, Shorts is the number two guy, slipping ahead of Nate Washington. Although, however the two stand on the depth chart is irrelevant because neither will steal each other's targets. The undefeated Cincinnati Bengals will likely give the underachieving Texans a hard time Monday night, and even though the majority of passes will head in the direction of Hopkins, Houston will need to spread the ball.
Surely there are other options better than Shorts, but he can prove to be valuable in deep PPR leagues, and pick up around 10 points for owners. He'll get his targets - the question is: can he get open against a stingy Bengals defense?
