BALLER MOVE: Add in Deeper Leagues as a Backup
Owned in 45% of Fleaflicker leagues
ANALYSIS: Charles Clay was widely considered one of the preseason fantasy football sleepers among tight ends, but has yet to produce at any kind of level through the first four weeks of the season. Ryan Tannehill has targeted his tight end just 22 times, completing 14 of the attempts. Clay has picked up just 111 yards in the process, and has yet to find his way across the goal line, something he was able to do on six different occasions in 2013. Heading into the bye week, Clay is not deserving of a starting spot in any league. But as Tannehill begins to look towards his security blanket more, Clay's fantasy value could grow exponentially, given what he has done in the past. If he reverts back to the Charles Clay that caught 69 passes for 759 yards in 2013, he could once again become a legitimate TE1 option in 12- or 14-team leagues. Feel free to stash him off the Week 5 waiver wire if he's still available.
