ANALYSIS: After being sidelined with an ankle injury to begin his rookie campaign, Charles Sims is expected to be activated for Tampa's Week 9 matchup against the Cleveland Browns as the starting running back. With Doug Martin nursing an ankle injury, and Bobby Rainey struggling to be productive, Sims may get his chance to shine in his debut. The 24-year-old was a touchdown machine in college, breaking the plane 29 times in three seasons with the University of Houston and 11 more in his senior yeat at West Virginia. The number of touches he may receive as the primary back, and his nose for the end zone, make him a legitimate RB2 or flex option off the Week 9 waiver wire. He needs to prove himself before owners can rely on him on a week-to-week basis, but especially against a week Cleveland front line that allows 143 rushing yards per game, Sims is a must-add, as well as a recommended start in all but the shallowest of leagues.
