ANALYSIS: So Chris Carter is your prototypical all-or-nothing hitter. He will either hit a ton of bombs, or miss so badly the only thing the defense will worry about is catching a cold. For reference, Carter's K-rate has been over 30% in each of the last four seasons. He's balanced that out (and I use that phrase lightly) with 20+ homers each of the last three seasons.
His average at the moment sits at .250, which for Carter is the equivalent of Ted Williams' .400 mark. Carter's .304 BABIP suggests this could go down, but regardless he should be a safe bet for 25+ homers. His home park should help make that even more of a lock. He has more value in Roto leagues, but wherever you have him you better have some players who can offset the damage he will do to your team's average.
