ANALYSIS: Chris Conley has operated as the No. 2 option behind Jeremy Maclin all season with the Chiefs, and had his best game of the season in Week 4. Conley caught 6-of-7 targets for 70 yards in the blowout loss to the Steelers. Before this game, Conley had averaged only three receptions for 34 yards to date. What made this game different was that Alex Smith was forced to throw 50 times after falling in an early hole. Smith is throwing 42 passes per game so far this season, after only averaging 29 last season. Conley is second on the team in targets (23) behind Jeremy Maclin through four weeks. He isn’t someone you want to have to rely on, but he is an option for much deeper leagues.
