BALLER MOVE: Add in All Leagues
ROSTERED IN: 30% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: The Yankees' offense is a shell of what we expected them to be in the preseason, but that's led to the emergence of Clint Frazier who has taken full advantage of his first crack at everyday at-bats. Frazier was a former top prospect in the Indians' farm system and was the centerpiece of the Andrew Miller trade back in 2016. Since then, he's been stuck in baseball limbo, too good for Triple-A, but not good enough to be more than a fourth-outfielder with the Big League club. The Yankees have had multiple chances to trade Frazier while he was still considered a prospect, but chose to hold him, much to the chagrin of Yankee fans.
This season, we're seeing why the organization chose not to deal Frazier. The 26-year-old is batting .287 with a strong .406 on-base percentage thanks to a sky-high 15.5 percent walk rate. He's also producing the counting stats from the cleanup spot in the order. Frazier has 13 runs and 18 RBI in 26 games with a robust .500 slugging percentage. His batted-ball data backs up his surge to must-start status in fantasy as he has a 14.3 percent barrel rate that's led to a 51.8 percent hard-hit rate and a 91.4 MPH average exit velocity, both well above league average. Frazier should be added in any league where he's still available.
