BALLER MOVE: Add in Mixed Leagues
ANALYSIS: After missing the entire 2013 season due to recovering from knee surgery, Corey Hart is back with a new team in the Seattle Mariners, as well as a new lease on life. Through the first couple weeks, his .231 BA isn’t too promising, but he does boast 4 HRs with 6 RBI in just 39 plate appearances. Considering he hadn’t played in the majors since 2012, I feel confident in chalking up the slow start as shaking off the cobwebs. His 3 year numbers going back to 2010 (to skip last season) are solid - his 29 HR, 82 RBI, 2 seasons with 91 Runs, and 6 Steals isn’t too shabby. Now the steals might be harder to get with the knee issues, but the point is Hart can be a great player. Hart is the everyday DH for Seattle, and could reasonably end up being eligible for both 1B and OF positions in fantasy terms. He is on a Mariners team on the upswing, and hitting 4th behind Robinson Cano will give him plenty of RBI chances. Only 30% owned in Yahoo leagues, I would take a chance on him off the waiver wire.
