Counter Strike: Global Offensive DFS Picks (5/13/20) - DraftKings, FanDuel Daily Fantasy

Welcome back, RotoBallers, to another edition of my Counter Strike: Global Offensive DFS picks. I have to admit, I am having a ton of fun playing and covering eSports DFS at RotoBaller! As always, I will do my best to give you the stats and info you need to build the best lineups possible for your GPP and cash game CSGO contests on Draftkings and FanDuel.

We have a three-game main slate on DraftKings that is a part of the ESL One: Road to Rio qualifier. This has been an awesome tournament so far and has provided us with some great, competitive matches. We have a number of really good teams in action today and some really closely projected matches which should make for an awesome GPP slate.

Today I'll be bringing you my Counter-Strike: Global Offensive DFS advice, analysis, and lineup picks for eSports DFS contests on DraftKings and FanDuel for Wednesday, May 13th, 2020 at 7:00 AM. Feel free to follow me on Twitter @jorgepucks as I am happy to engage with readers and try to answer your questions!

Road to Rio (Best of 3)

  • Virtus.Pro (-230) vs. Nemiga (+160)
  • FaZe (-175) vs. NiP (+125)
  • Astralis (-280) vs. G2 (+200)

CS:GO DFS Captain Considerations

Jame is the second-highest priced player on the DK slate at $9,800. He is currently averaging 57.1 DK points per game and has produced 50+ DK points in four of his last five games. Over the last month of games played, Jame has produced a 1.42 K/D ratio and has a .75 kill per round rate while having only a .53 death per round rate. In his career against Nemiga, he has a 1.31 K/D ratio over 12 maps played which makes him viable for both cash game and tournament lineups.

Broky has been on fire throughout this whole qualifier as he has led FaZe with a 1.41 K/D ratio and a +100 K/D differential. Over the same stretch, he has had a .73 kill per round rate and a .52 death per round rate which shows how great he truly has been. He has had six straight games of scoring above 50 DK points and has nine of his last 13 games go for 60+ DK points. Broky is a great choice for both cash games and tournaments and is one of the safer plays due to his recent form. On DK, he is just $8,400 while on FD he is $11,900 which makes him a better overall value on DK.

Other captain plays: buster, device, NiKo

CS:GO DFS Value Plays

Coldzera has been one of my favorite players regardless of the slate. I'm sure you are tired of seeing his name in my articles but I can’t help it, he always seems to come in under-priced. He is just $7,200 on DK but is priced up on FD at $12,000 which shows you that he is an extreme value on DK. He is averaging 54.4 DK points per game and has posted two 90+ DK point performances over his last four games played. He is a little more volatile as a player but makes for a great tournament play and can even be looked at in the captain spot on DK for salary relief. Coldzera has seen a crazy amount of games against NiP as he has played against them on 41 maps and owns a 1.32 K/D ratio against them. After typing that, he just became my favorite play on the entire slate.

Dupreeh is a great value on both sites as he is $7,000 on DK and $9,800 on FD. G2 is a tough matchup but Astyralis has been playing really well as a squad and Dupreeh is carrying a 1.02 K/D ratio throughout the Road to Rio qualifier. He is averaging 53.3 DK points per game and has gone for 50+ DK points in three of his last five games.  He doesn’t carry the major upside like coldzera offers in this price range but he does offer consistency of hitting in the 50-60 range which could be beneficial if looking for a cash game play for this price range.

Other value plays: olofmeister, SANJI

Top CS:GO DFS Stacks

FaZe has been on fire as of late, winning five straight games and going 7-0 in the Road to Rio stage play. NiP has been on a nice run themselves as they have won four of their last five games and find themselves in the upper semifinal bracket against FaZe. FaZe owns the head-to-head record against NiP with the record being 5-2-1. Throughout the Road to Rio qualifier, FaZe has carried a team K/D ratio of 1.18 and they have gone 14-3 over the 17 map stretch. NiP has carried a 1.12 K/D ratio while going 13-7 over their 20 game stretch during the Road to Rio qualifier. Broky has led the squad with a 1.41 K/D ratio while coldzera and NiKo follow behind with both of them carrying above a 1.20 K/D ratio. All three of those FaZe players rank in the top eight of the overall match rating for the Road to Rio qualifier. If needing a cheaper option from FaZe, Olofmeister, and rain both carry good value with olofmeister being the better value play on DK.

Virtus.Pro looks to be a really good stacking option on this slate. They are favored against Nemiga and own the head-to-head record of 7-1. VP has won two of their last five games while Nemiga has won three of their last five games so they both enter this matchup in a similar form. VP has carried a team K/D ratio of 1.08 over the last month while Nemiga has had a team K/D ratio of 1.04 so VP has a slight edge. Jame is the first VP person to look at when considering a stack from this squad. Buster and qikert are the two other VP players to consider as they both carry a K/D ratio above 1.10 over the last month. These top 3 players are all priced-up so it will be tough to go a full three-man stack with the big three so the more optimal play is looking at two of them. SANJI doesn’t carry the biggest upside but he does carry a 1.07 career K/D ratio against Nemiga so he could be a cheap viable option to include in your VP stacks.

Other stacks/ teams: Astralis
