Welcome back, RotoBallers, to another edition of my Counter Strike: Global Offensive DFS picks. I have to admit, I am having a ton of fun playing and covering eSports DFS at RotoBaller! As always, I will do my best to give you the stats and info you need to build the best lineups possible for your GPP and cash game CS:GO contests on DraftKings which can also be related to FanDuel contests as well.

We have a four-game main slate on DraftKings that involves teams from the BLAST Premier Spring 2020 series.

Today I'll be bringing you my Counter Strike: Global Offensive DFS lineup picks, analysis and advice for eSports DFS contests on DraftKings for Thursday, June 4th, 2020 at 1:50 PM. Be sure to also check out our awesome CS:GO Premium DFS Tools including our Lineup Optimizer, Research Station, Projections and DFS Cheat Sheets! BLAST Premier Spring 2020- (Best of 1)

  • Fnatic (-240) vs. Dignitas (+170)
  • Furia (-300) vs. Chaos (+210)
  • 100 Thieves (-160) vs. Cloud 9 (+120)
  • Evil Geniuses (-335) vs. Triumph (+240)

Best of One Tournament Strategy

The format for this contest is the best of one which really makes this tricky. We have been used to a Best of three, which really allows for big-time scores and gives players an opportunity to really come back strong if they end up having a bad round. There are several ways to attack this tournament moving forward since this will be the main tournament for the coming weeks.

The first thought is to load up on stacks of the top teams that could do well just like you would with a best of three series. With there not being sweep bonuses, the only additional bonuses you are relying on are lopsided games where you can rack up some additional points for rounds not being played but that will only result in a few fantasy points. The other thought process is that you can nail the top two or three players that do well in these lopsided games which would result in having a very nice kill/death differential resulting in a strong score.

The downside to this thinking is that you have to be spot on with your plays since one guy or stack can sink a lineup. 3/3 stacks are very boom or bust and if you are on the right side of them, you could be taking everything down. Conversely, you can have lineups bust really quickly if you load up on a team and they just not show up for that one game.

The winning lineups have often been a 2-2-1-1 stack. This seems to be a better and more efficient way of going about constructing your lineup for the time being for these best of one matches. You are including several small two-man stacks while diversifying and grabbing the best players from other teams. Diversifying your lineup and grabbing the best overall players from teams projected to win seems to be the safer and better route so make sure to give this a try moving forward.

CS:GO DFS Captain Considerations

KSCERATO had a letdown game against MiBR as he only scored 12.5 DK points against them but this seems like a great bounceback spot. A few weeks back, KSCERATO went +21 against Chaos in a Bo3 series while generating 62 kills and generating a rating of 1.21. He is $8,600 which is the third-highest salary on the slate but could be worth it if he has a monster performance which we have grown accustomed to from him.

Brehze is pretty cheap at $7,800 and is one of my favorite value plays on the slate for the captain spot. In his recent outing against Triumph, Brehze posted 43 kills and had a +13 K/D differential in addition to having a 1.35 match rating. Over the last month,  Brehze has posted a 1.12 K/D ratio and a .74 kill per round rate so we are getting him at a lower price point with plenty of upside. Brehze looks good for both cash games and tournament lineups on this four-game slate.

Other captain plays: Brollan, yuurih, KRIMZ

CS:GO DFS Value Plays

Liazz is just $5,600 which is pretty low for the upside that he can present in this matchup. He is carrying a career K/D ratio of 1.06 against Cloud 9 in a 12 map span. He is the cheapest 100 Thieves player on this slate and is coming off of a 23.5 DK point performance against Evil Geniuses and recently put up 72 DK points against C9 last week in a best of three format. I think Liazz looks to be a good low-owned value tournament play on this slate due to pricing and his matchup.

CeRq is on the higher-end of the value spectrum but is a value considering his recent form and price. He is just $7,200 and has had a 1.13 K/D ratio over the last month. He is coming off of a 34 DK point performance against 100 Thieves where he had 29 kills and only 14 deaths. In the matchup against Triumph in late April, he had a +9 K/D differential and had 40 kills while generating a 1.36 match rating. He is one of the better overall players on this slate and is priced low enough to where he could even be considered for the captain role for tournaments.

Other value plays: ethan, Golden, jks, jkaem, AZR, leaf

Top CS:GO DFS Stacks

Furia is always in consideration when they are on a slate but they look to be my favorite stack for this four-game slate for Thursday. They get Chaos who is a lower-ranked team and are 2-1 against them all-time with the two wins coming a little over a week ago in the DreamHack Masters' event. Furia is 1-1 so far in this best of one event with a loss against rival MiBR but with a win over Gen. G. Chaos is 0-1-1 with a loss against Gen. G and a tie against MiBR.

Over the last month, Furia has generated a team K/D ratio of 1.08 against top tier opponents while Chaos has had a team K/D ratio of 1.10 but the competition they have faced has included teams outside of the top 50. The big three for Furia are all in play as KSCERATO, HEN1, and yuurih all carry an above 1.2 K/D ratio over the last month.

Evil Geniuses are my other favorite stack on this slate. They own the all-time head-to-head record of 2-0 against Triumph and those two wins took place back in late April. Triumph has won their last four of five best of one matches but Evil Geniuses should pose a much tougher challenge than their previous opponents and they are 2-0 in the best of one format. Evil Geniuses have softer pricing relative to the rest of the field which helps from a roster construction standpoint.

Brehze is the first EG player to consider in your EG stacks. He led the team in K/D ratio over the last three months and posted a +11 differential against Triumph when they last played.  CeRq is the second EG player that has been in very good form lately as he has had a 1.13 K/D ratio over the last month and has upside to help your DFS lineups. From a value perspective, Ethan would be the value piece to look at from this squad.

Other stacks/teams: Fnatic, 100 Thieves
