Nine to Five Tournament
Best of 3
- Hard Legion (-290) vs. AGF (+210)
- Gambit Youngsters (-180) vs. ALTERNATE aTTaX (+135)
Hard Legion vs. AGF
This seems to be the more lopsided game on this two-game slate. Hard Legion comes in as the biggest favorite on the slate and looks like the overall better team when compared to AGF. They own a 6-2 all-time record against AGF and have a higher winning percentage on four of the seven tournament maps that are viable for tournament play so they do have a slight edge when looking at those factors. AGF looks to be in slightly better form when looking at the numbers with the core rosters but it is hard to overlook Hard Legions history and map numbers.
Forester leads the Hard Legion squad in K/D ratio with a 1.10 ratio over the last 30 maps played. He is moderately priced at $7,600 and is a great value to use in the captain role for the salary savings that he provides. Krad is the highest-price player and has had an above 1 K/D ratio over the last month of games played with rAge being the other Hard Legion member that carried above a 1 K/D ratio. He is $7,000 and could be the best value from this squad. From the AGF side, they have really only had two players really dominate from their squad. TMB and fr0slev have had above 1.15 K/D ratios over their last 28 maps played and are the best ones to focus on if looking to get some exposure from AGF.
Pick: Hard Legion sweeps 2-0
Gambit Youngsters vs. ALTERNATE aTTaX
This should be a very fun game to watch and arguably the more exciting game on the slate. Gambit Youngsters are led by sh1ro who is the best player in this tournament while they take on ALTERNATE aTTax who has been playing amazing as a team and the hottest team in the tournament. AA enters this matchup winning nine straight matches and have gone 36-19 over their last 55 maps played. Gambit Youngsters have won three out of their last four matches but have only gone 19-15 over their last 34 maps played. When looking at the map comparison, AA has a higher winning percentage on four of the seven playable maps so there’s another edge they have on the Gambit Youngsters.
The AA squad as a whole looks reasonably priced which is surprising for how well they have played. Slaxz- has been their strongest player over the last month as he has produced a 1.28 K/D ratio during that timespan. Kressy and stfN have also played well as they have had K/D ratios above 1.15 over their last 55 maps played as well. If looking for value, mirbit is just $5,200 and has produced a 1.12 K/D ratio over the last month. From the GY side of things, it really is a two-man show with sh1ro and Ax1Le. Without these two guys, this team would be terrible! Both could be used in a mini-stack setting or even as one-off plays just because of their high kill share from their team.
Pick: ALTERNATE aTTaX wins 2-1 (Upset)
Captain: Forester, slaxz-, kressy, sh1ro
Pool: Krad, TMB, rAge, fr0slev, Ax1Le, stfN, mirbit
