San Francisco Giants shortstop Brandon Crawford exited Tuesday’s game against the Arizona Diamondbacks with tightness in his left calf and his left side oblique, according to Bay Area Sports.
It’s been an issue that Crawford has been dealing with for the past few weeks. The 28-year-old could land on the DL and potentially miss the rest of the season, depending on the results of tests on the injuries.

It has been a rough few weeks for the defending World Series champions as they were right behind the Los Angeles Dodgers for first place in the NL West to now sitting 8 1/2 games back with less than a month left in the season. The Dodgers are 8-2 in their last 10 games while the Giants are 3-7. A three-game sweep for L.A. over San Fran last week could have been the nail in the coffin for the Giants.
Crawford has a .255/.315/.463 batting line with 19 HR and 77 RBI during what has been a career-year for the five-year MLB shortstop who made his first All-Star team this season.
