The Chicago Cubs want Dexter Fowler back on the team for the 2016 season.
The centerfielder made $9.5 million during the final year of arbitration. Fowler is now a free agent because the Cubbies were eliminated in the NLCS on Wednesday. There will be plenty of suitors that want his talents.
Theo plans to talk to Fowler about possibly staying. Also has other CF alternative plans.

The 29-year-old finished the regular season with a .250/.346/.411 batting line along with 17 HR, 20 stolen bases and 102 runs scored. Fowler racked up 10 hits over nine games played throughout the postseason along with 2 HR, 3 RBI and 1 SB.
Fowler is ready to hit the possible prime of his career. There are many young players that are affordable right now in Chicago, which could make it a possibility that he re-signs with the Cubbies. If not, he’ll make plenty of money elsewhere.
