ANALYSIS: As a rookie, Jaguars wide receiver D.J. Chark had 14 catches for 174 yards and no touchdowns. Sunday against the Chiefs, he ended up with four catches for 146 yards and a score.
Nearly doubling your career receiving yard mark in one game is impressive, and it showed just how far Chark has come on this team. He was on the field for over 70 percent of the Jaguars' offensive plays; last season, Chark played that much just once.
The second-year wideout has started to carve out a role as the deep threat in this offense, and while his ceiling is going to be lowered after a collarbone injury to Nick Foles has turned control of this offense over to rookie quarterback Gardner Minshew, Chark should be targeted down the field at least a few times per game. With defenses keying in on running back Leonard Fournette and slot receiver Dede Westbrook, Chark has a chance to take advantage of light coverage. The risk and the low volume make it tough to consider him in a PPR league, but owners in standard scoring who are looking to chase upside should definitely be interested in seeing what Chark can do.
