DFS Starting Pitchers to Consider
Ross Stripling - vs MIL (DK - $5,200, FD - $5,500)
Making his first start of the season, Dodgers starter Ross Stripling is an incredible value. He's been outstanding in his relief role this season, with a 24.7% K-rate and 2.17 walk-rate, good for a 3.16 FIP. As a starter, he may not be quite as dominant, but he can still put up a solid start at a very low price. The Brewers are an average lineup against righties with their .324 wOBA, but they can't do nearly as much damage away from their hitter-friendly home park. Dodger Stadium is a much better environment to pitch in. Furthermore, Milwaukee has the highest K-rate in all of baseball against right-handers at 25.5%. This gives Stripling lots of upside on Saturday.
Kyle Hendricks - at PHI (DK - $7,500, FD - $7,700)
Hendricks has quietly gotten back on track in the last month, throwing 28 1/3 innings with a 2.51 ERA. He gets a weak Phillies lineup that's got a .311 wOBA against righties, ranking them at 24th in the league. Take advantage of an undervalued asset and get him in your lineups.
DFS Infielders to Consider
Buster Posey - C, at ARI (DK - $3,500, FD - $2,800)
Posey might be cold right now, but he's still an elite catcher option. He's got a 132 wRC+ on the season and has more walks than strikeouts, showing superb plate discipline. Arizona is one of the best offensive environments in baseball, so he should have no trouble racking up fantasy points there.
Jose Abreu - 1B, vs DET (DK - $3,900, FD - $3,200)
Abreu has been absolutely crushing the ball over the last 15 days, hitting six homers with a 1.042 OPS. He should tee off on Buck Farmer, owner of a 6.62 ERA in four starts this year, and is especially attractive in GPPs for his high floor.
Jose Ramirez - 2B, at KC (DK - $4,200, FD - $2,700)
Even with his recent struggles, Ramirez has been a fantasy catalyst this season, with 18 home runs and 13 steals. Out of the third spot for the Indians, he can provide both runs and RBIs. Ramirez can get plenty of both against Jason Hammel, who has a 4.73 ERA for the Royals this season.
Anthony Rendon - 3B, vs NYM (DK - $3,800, FD - $3,100)
Rendon's price is absurdly low for the kind of year he's had, as the Nats third baseman has a .301/.403/.547 line this season. He would be worth playing against any pitcher, but against Robert Gsellman (5.65 ERA), it's almost impossible to keep him out of your lineup.
Javier Baez - SS, at PHI (DK - $3,900, FD - $3,400)
Baez has been exceptional in the last month, putting up a .915 OPS with eight homers, and is an everyday player for the Cubs as a result. He's facing Ben Lively, who has a pathetic 10.3% K-rate, so Baez's high K-rate isn't much of a concern. Grab Baez in cash games for his massive upside in a loaded Cubs lineup.
DFS Outfielders to Consider
Billy Hamilton - OF, vs PIT (DK - $3,900, FD - $3,200)
Hamilton's obvious value comes from his speed, as he has 53 steals this year. However, he has added value as the Reds leadoff hitter, where he will get lots of plate appearances and have a shot at scoring some runs. Speed is often forgotten about in daily formats, but it can score you plenty of points.
Mark Trumbo - OF, at BOS (DK - $3,700, FD - $3,300)
Any Orioles hitter should be considered at Fenway Park, an extreme hitter's ballpark, against Rick Porcello. Trumbo comes at a low price and has some of the most power in the league, hitting 47 dingers last year.
Steve Pearce - OF, vs MIN (DK - $4,100, FD - $3,300)
Pearce has been mashing the ball in the last month, with a .292 average and a .952 OPS. Any time he's at home in Toronto, a fantastic hitting environment, check out Pearce, as he continues to be overlooked.
