Daily Fantasy Golf DraftKings Picks (PGA DFS): Safeway Open

I can not believe I am writing a golf article this week. This is the first week of October. The leaves are falling. The temperature is dropping. You can smell football in the air. How in the world is there a golf tournament? The season JUST ended. The big name players will not be playing for a while. NO ONE CARES about golf right now. And the PGA doesn't seem to be realize. The ONLY reason there is golf right now is because of money. Money is the answer to every question. There is literally no week off in the golf season. It's become a year round sport, when half the population can't play golf year round.

I will be providing you my DraftKings PGA DFS lineup picks for the Safeway OpenMy goal as always is to help put together your optimal daily fantasy golf lineups.

If anyone has lineup questions before the start of the tournament Thursday morning, feel free to contact me via Twitter @Seth_Fink.

Safeway Open

The Safeway Open will be played at Silverado Resort and Spa North in Napa, CA. Not only will these players enjoy an easy golf course, but also the greatest wine in the world.

Towards the end of last season (which was only two weeks ago) I killed my picks. I didn't even use stats so why start using them again?

Fantasy Golf Lineup Picks for DraftKings (PGA DFS)

High-Cost Players

Bill Haas ($9,900)

Haas played well here last year shooting a 11-under, finishing T-20. Since the British Open, he missed one cut. He's a reliable player who should contend.

Keegan Bradley ($9,300)

The St. John's alum is one of my favorites (partly because he's a Johnnie). He hasn't had a top-10 finish since June 29th, but he also hasn't been cut since the beginning of June, 10 straight without being cut.

Middle-Cost Players

Ollie Schneiderjans ($8,300)

Another favorite of mine. Last season he had five top-10's, but still without a win. That will change very soon.

Sam Saunders ($7,800)

This guy just shot a 59 in his last time out. Wow. That is spectacular. He finished that tournament T-2, and will come in with a whole lot of confidence.

Sang Moon Bae ($7,200)

He's back from his mandatory stint in the South Korean military! Before he had to join the military, he was golf's darling. I have a feeling he won't miss a beat.

Low-Cost Players

John Daly ($7,000)

I attend the Champions Tour Dick's Sporting Goods Open and followed Daly around. He was incredible to watch. From the pants, to smoking a cigarette after hitting driving the ball 350 yards. There is a par-5 on the course about 550 yards. I was standing about 250 yards from the tee box. The two other guys in his group hit it to where I was standing, and then Daly unleashed it 75 yards past their balls. The ball just kept going and going. The small gallery stood their astonished. He'll draw a large crowd no matter the situation. If he gets off to a good start, he'll feed off the crowd.

Alex Cejka ($6,800)

I usually regret not picking him. At this point you're in need of salary relief so take a flier. Trust my gut instinct.
