It is getting chilly outside, but the PGA Tour season is trudging along. Every single week until the Phoenix Open, I will criticize the PGA for not taking some time off, let alone for one week.
I will be providing you my DraftKings PGA DFS lineup picks for the The CJ Cup. My goal as always is to help put together your optimal daily fantasy golf lineups.
If anyone has lineup questions before the start of the tournament Thursday morning, feel free to contact me via Twitter @Seth_Fink.
CJ Cup Open
The PGA Tour heads to Nine Bridges, South Korea for the inaugural CJ Cup. It's a par 72, 7,196 yards. There are four par-5s and four par-3s. The course is 3,500 yards above sea level so the bar will fly. Therefore I will be targeting players who can drive the ball far. Only 78 players are competing and there is no cut.
Fantasy Golf Lineup Picks for DraftKings (PGA DFS)
High-Cost Players
Justin Thomas ($12,100)
It's very rare for me to pony up and go with the highest-priced player, but Thomas is clearly the best. He had a great showing last week at the CIMB Classic finishing T-17. He can drive the ball as far as anyone can in this field, Most importantly, he is loose and relaxed. If you follow him on snapchat, you can tell he's been having a ton of fun in South Korea.
Rafa Caberera- Bello ($9,000)
I feel that this is a little low of a price for a player of his caliber. He ended last season strong, T-18 and T-33, and began the year with a T-10 last week.
Middle-Cost Players
Byeong Hun-An ($8,100)
How could you not go with a player who is South Korean? He played in the Italian Open last week finishing T-21.
Brandon Grace ($8,100)
He can stroke the ball and I love his low missile shot. That type of shot will get a ton of distance on this kind of elevation.
Jhonattan Vegas ($7,500)
Vegas is another player who can crush the ball. He had his ups and down last year, but seemed to get off to a strong start last week with a T-39.
Low-Cost Players
Graeme McDowell ($6,900)
G-Mac took one giant fall. He won the 2010 U.S. Open, but hasn't done much since. He last won a tournament in 2014. Let's take him take a flier with him for old times stakes.
Scott Brown ($6,900)
Brown had a nice year last year and is off a T-23 finish. Take him if you need salary relief.
