We have a 12 game slate for today's NHL DFS action. As of now, there are seven games with over-unders at six goals. I can't remember last time there were that many. Should be seeing plenty of goals tonight, so load up some stacks and let's win some contests.
Vegas lines are big when it comes to picking games to target, and that's a good place to start for goalies. When it comes to skaters, goal totals is another main place to start. Usually 5.5 goals is average, so targets games at six, and can look for goalies in games with a total at five.
In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy hockey lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 11/04/17. The lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to hit me up on Twitter @DFS_Tom. Let's get to it, shall we?

DFS Forwards to Consider
Mark Scheifele - WPG vs MON (DK - $7,300, FD - $7,800)
Scheifele is the first line center for the Jets, and also plays on the first power-play unit, so plenty of ice time for him to score some points. Speaking of points, he has 15 points in 12 games this season, and is coming off a hat-trick in his most recent outing. Not saying he will be putting up those numbers every game, but if he has a hot stick, we want to roster him while we can. He is at home against Montreal, who have given up 51 goals in 13 games this season, which is third worst in the league. He is on a hot streak right now against a team who can't play defense.
Rick Nash - NYR @ FLA (DK - $5,700, FD - $6,200)
Nash has been on the wrong side of goal variance thus far this season, and is primed for a turn around. Just from an eye test perspective, Nash has been playing really well, and the goals should start to find the net. He was moved up to the first forward line and the first power-play unit, so increased ice time for him and his price hasn't been adjusted. The strongest point for him this season, is that he is averaging nearly four shots per game. He is trying to create the offense, just needs a bit of luck to go his way.
DFS Defenders to Consider
John Klinberg - DAL vs BUF (DK - $5,500, FD - $6,200)
Klinberg is about as consistent as they not only in terms of DFS, but also real hockey. He has 11 points in 13 games this season, and plays on the first defensive pairing, along with the first power-play unit. He is taking about 2.5 shots per game along with, over 1.5 blocked shots per game. He is putting up points in all aspects of the game, which is exactly what we want to see as DFS players. Good for cash games, and you don't have to play him in a stack.
Olli Maatta - PIT @ VAN (DK - $3,900, FD - $4,300)
Maatta plays on the first defensive pairing and the second power-play unit for the Penguins, and its never a bad thing to have cheap exposure to a good offense. He has nine points in 15 games this season, but also chips in with plenty of shots, and plenty of blocked shots. Better if you use him in a stack, since he generally doesn't create a ton of offense by himself.
DFS Goalies to Consider
Kari Lehtonen - G, DAL vs BUF (DK - $7,800, FD - $7,500)
Lehtonen is the back up goalie for Dallas, and he has already been confirmed as the starter for tonight's game. He is at home and a -200 favorite according to Vegas. It's not that Lehtonen is super amazing, just the Buffalo is that bad. This puts him in a spot to pick up a win, and since he is cheap, you can fit some big name skaters into your lineups. He has given up eight goals in his four games this season.
