NHL Daily League Lineup Picks for Tuesday, November 8
Alex Galchenyuk (C, MON)
DraftKings - $6,600, FanDuel - $6,000, FantasyAces - $5,200
Absolutely love the discount you get for Galchenyuk tonight in a terrific home matchup. The Habs are undefeated at home this season(7-0) and welcome in the Bruins who have been better on the road but sit in the middle of the league in defense(16th). Galchenyuk provides top value on all sites in the mid tier and has been a huge part of the Habs home success as he has eight of his 11 points on home ice.
Carl Hagelin (W, PIT)
DraftKings - $4,200, FanDuel - $4,800, FantasyAces - $4,700
If you are looking for a cheap cash game option that you can pair with Crosby tonight take a close look at his line mate. He comes with a price under $5K on all sites and is coming off his best game of the year where he recorded three assists. He doesn't take a ton of shots as that duty falls on Hornqvist for the most part but the boost he gets playing alongside those two is enough safety tonight.
Shayne Gostisbehere (D, PHI)
DraftKings - $5,800, FanDuel - $5,900, FantasyAces - $5,350
After a few sub par performances defensively, the Ghost took a back seat for a few games and seen reduced ice time. He ha since been trending in the right direction and is coming off a game vs. the Habs where he see his highest usage of the season(24+ min). He comes with a nice floor averaging over three shots per game and has huge offensive upside with heavy usage on the powerplay.
Stacking Option
New York Rangers - Rick Nash, Jimmy Vesey, Derek Stepan
The Rangers are in a great spot tonight as they come in as big -310 home favorites over the Canucks who rank 20th in defense. Vancouver is also playing the back end of a back to back set of game so the road. Rick Nash can't be trusted in cash games but still has a ton of scoring upside and has six goals on the season which is tied with line mate Jimmy Vesey. Center Derek Stepan has been the ultimate play maker on the line with nine assists.

Bonus: General NHL DFS Strategy Notes
For cash games, look at players who can contribute to your score even when they are not providing offense. Some examples are guys who take a ton of shots and defensemen who block a lot of shots. Also, look for guys who get power play time. You can find value in players who join a new line due to an injury, or just get a promotion and more ice time. It is also recommended to spread out your exposure to three or four different lines, and not put all your eggs in one basket.
For large field tournaments (GPPs), find payers who have multi-point upside and can grab double-digit fantasy points. If you want to stack the most upside in your forwards, a common strategy is to punt the defense position. This doesn't mean just grab anyone - try and look for a defenseman who will get power play time, or a playing time boost due to an injury. For a contrarian approach, paying up at the defense position can be a great strategy - but it also comes with more risk. GPPs bring a great opportunity for goaltenders in the value price range - you can look for backups on good teams.
