NHL Daily League Lineup Picks for Thursday, November 10
Mark Scheifele (C, WPG)
DraftKings - $7,200, FanDuel - $7,500, FantasyAces - $5,650
This is your chance to roster the hottest player in fantasy hockey in one of the best matchups of the year. Scheifele has been on fire with three straight multi point efforts with nine total points in those games. This impressive run has pushed him to the NHL lead in points(18) going into an elite matchup on Thursday vs. the Coyotes and their 30th ranked offense that is allowing 3.7 goals per game. He is safe in all formats.
Jaden Schwartz (W, STL)
DraftKings - $5,500, FanDuel - $4,800, FantasyAces - $5,100
While you can't trust the Blues and their struggling offense in cash games, they make a perfect GPP play tonight a nice road matchup. Schwartz is sitting with just four points coming into this game tonight but is starting to trend in the right direction with points in two straight contests. As long as he continues to skate on the top line with Vladimir Tarasenko he will be in strong consideration on a nightly basis.
Victor Hedman (D, TB)
DraftKings - $5,500, FanDuel - $6,300, FantasyAces - $5,400
Hedman appears to be taking the next step. He has seen an increase in ice time this season, at both even strength and on the powerplay, and has paid off in a big way. He has already recorded 10 points in his first 13 games and is easily on pace for a fourth straight 35+ point season. For fantasy, he provides a stable floor with around two blocks and two shots per game and has already contributed five points with the man advantage. He comes at a nice discount from the top options and is safe bet in all formats.
Stacking Option
Pittsburgh Penguins - Sidney Crosby, Patric Hornqvist, Carl Hagelin
The Penguins have been an elite team in the early going, leading the Metropolitan division with 20 points. They own the leagues seventh best offense, scoring 3.1 goals per game an also have a Top 10 powerplay. The top line is diverse group in that you get elite production and three players at different price levels making it easy to fit them all in without hurting your overall PTS/$ value. The face a tough test on the road against the leagues #1 defense in the Wild which should only help bring their ownership down in tournaments.

Bonus: General NHL DFS Strategy Notes
For cash games, look at players who can contribute to your score even when they are not providing offense. Some examples are guys who take a ton of shots and defensemen who block a lot of shots. Also, look for guys who get power play time. You can find value in players who join a new line due to an injury, or just get a promotion and more ice time. It is also recommended to spread out your exposure to three or four different lines, and not put all your eggs in one basket.
For large field tournaments (GPPs), find payers who have multi-point upside and can grab double-digit fantasy points. If you want to stack the most upside in your forwards, a common strategy is to punt the defense position. This doesn't mean just grab anyone - try and look for a defenseman who will get power play time, or a playing time boost due to an injury. For a contrarian approach, paying up at the defense position can be a great strategy - but it also comes with more risk. GPPs bring a great opportunity for goaltenders in the value price range - you can look for backups on good teams.
