NHL Daily League Lineup Picks for Tuesday, December 6
For those that are new to this, each day we'll be providing you with a few of our top DFS lineup picks for daily league cash games on FanDuel, DraftKings, and FantasyAces. We will also provide you with one of our favorite teams to stack for GPPs. You can grab the rest of our Premium DFS lineup picks and stacks through the NHL Cheat Sheet and DFS Premium Pass below.
Cory Schneider (G, NJ)
DraftKings - $8,000, FanDuel - $9,100, FantasyAces - $7,700
If you are looking to exploit recency bias tonight at the goaltender position, Schneider is the pick. He has gone 1-3-2 over his last six starts giving up three or more goals in every game. He may not be safe for cash games but he has a ton of GPP upside tonight while most will steer clear. He is still unbeaten at home(7-0-1) in regulation time with a .920 save % and faces a Canucks team that struggles on the road(3-7-1).
Tyler Seguin (C, DAL)
DraftKings - $7,800, FanDuel - $8,500, FantasyAces - $5,750
Speaking of going contrarian, while most will be siding with McDavid tonight take a shot with Seguin. The Stars are home favorites(-145) to the Flames despite winning three in a row have the leagues' 21st ranked defense allowing 2.89 goals per game. He is hot with points in four straight games and is safe in all formats averaging over three shots on goal per game this season.
Max Pacioretty (W, MTL)
DraftKings - $6,800, FanDuel - $7,000, FantasyAces - $5,150
From a fantasy perspective, things are trending up in a big way for Pacioretty. He is coming off his first multi point game since mid-November and has recorded 20 or more minutes of ice time in back to games. He hasn't seen 20 minutes of ice time since back in October. That trend could continue with star player Alex Galchenyuk set to miss an undisclosed amount of time with a lower body injury.
Dennis Seidenberg (D, CBJ)
DraftKings - $3,700, FanDuel - $4,000, FantasyAces - $4,750
He is fully in play on FanDuel and DraftKings where his salary is still a big value. After missing seven games with a jaw injury he returned to action and picked up right where he left off. He has picked up a point and blocked six shots in his two games back in the lineup. It was also a positive sign seeing him jump from 19 minutes to over 22 minutes in his second game back against the Red Wings on Sunday.
Stacking Option
Nashville Predators - Ryan Johansen, Filip Forsberg, Viktor Arvidsson
Despite losing two straight games the Predators have been a top offense over the last month. In fact, since the start of November, they have been averaging 3.3 goals per game and have scored four or more goals in a game seven times. With James Neal out of the lineup look for the top lien to pick up the slack. They get a great matchup tonight as their sixth ranked offense gets a date with the Avs and their 26th ranked defense and 25th ranked penalty kill.

Bonus: General NHL DFS Strategy Notes
For cash games, look at players who can contribute to your score even when they are not providing offense. Some examples are guys who take a ton of shots and defensemen who block a lot of shots. Also, look for guys who get power play time. You can find value in players who join a new line due to an injury, or just get a promotion and more ice time. It is also recommended to spread out your exposure to three or four different lines, and not put all your eggs in one basket.
For large field tournaments (GPPs), find payers who have multi-point upside and can grab double-digit fantasy points. If you want to stack the most upside in your forwards, a common strategy is to punt the defense position. This doesn't mean just grab anyone - try and look for a defenseman who will get power play time, or a playing time boost due to an injury. For a contrarian approach, paying up at the defense position can be a great strategy - but it also comes with more risk. GPPs bring a great opportunity for goaltenders in the value price range - you can look for backups on good teams.
