Cheat Sheet Enhancements for 10/22: Two new advanced stats added!
- "Shots attempted per 60 minutes" reflects a players shots on net + shots that missed net + shots that were blocked. It's a key stat to show how much a player possesses the puck generally, and is a predictive indicator for the number of shots a player will get on net.
- "Points per 60 minutes" reflects a players point production per 60 minutes of ice time. This is a great indicator of how productive a player is in their ice time. If a player has a high Points/60, and they get moved up to a top line, they'll represent a key sleeper play in the we

NHL DFS Picks for for Thursday, November 5th
There are nine games on the schedule Thursday night with some great matchups for fantasy purposes. The Flyers are playing their third game in four nights on the road in Calgary and both teams are ranked near the bottom in defense and goal differential. Both goalies look like great options in the NSH vs. MIN game as it looks to be a low scoring contest. With a winner hard to pick in that game both goalies should only be used in tournament formats. Below are a few core pays for Thursday.
Ben Bishop - Goaltender, Lightning (DraftKings - $7,400 FanDuel - $8,400)
The Lightning are -190 favorites as they visit the Sabres who struggling to score goals early in the season. Bishop has started the year with a poor 5-6-1 record which is due to the lack of goal support he has been getting. That should change Thursday and give Bishop a great shot at a win and some nice fantasy production.
Nathan MacKinnon - Center, Avalanche (DraftKings - $7,400 FanDuel - $6,900)
He was a core play on Tuesday and didn't disappoint with a goal and two assists and a +2 rating. He is taking a ton of shot attempts per 60 min and makes a terrific GPP play again on Thursday.
Tyler Toffoli - Winger, Kings (DraftKings - $5,700 FanDuel - $5,700)
He is top 50 in the league with over 17 shot attempts per 60 min which has propelled him to 11 points in his first 12 games this year. He enters a nice matchup Thursday vs. the Blue Jackets who are at the bottom of the league in goals allowed per game.
John Gaudreau - Winger, Flames (DraftKings - $6,100 FanDuel - $6,800)
Great matchup in a likely high scoring game vs. the Flyers who are playing their 3rd game in four nights. he has two goals and 11 assists to start the year and attempts over 11 shots per 60 minutes of play. Great play in all formats.
Roman Josi - Defense, Predators (DraftKings - $6,100 FanDuel - $6,100)
One of the most consistent fantasy defenseman and you can save a few dollars off the top options. He has a great floor on DraftKings where blocked shots are counted and will get penalty minutes and powerplay points which are an added bonus on FanDuel.
