- "Shots attempted per 60 minutes" reflects a players shots on net + shots that missed net + shots that were blocked. It's a key stat to show how much a player possesses the puck generally, and is a predictive indicator for the number of shots a player will get on net.
- "Points per 60 minutes" reflects a players point production per 60 minutes of ice time. This is a great indicator of how productive a player is in their ice time. If a player has a high Points/60, and they get moved up to a top line, they'll represent a key sleeper play in the we

NHL DFS Picks for for Friday, November 13th
Just four games tonight in the NHL on this Friday the 13th. The Calgary Flames(road), Washington Capitals(home), and New York Islanders(road) are playing on back to back nights as well as their third game in four nights. The home teams seem to be in favorable spots tonight but with a small slate of games, every team will be considered an option.
Marc-Andre Fleury - Goaltender, Penguins (DraftKings - $7,700 FanDuel - $10,100)
The Penguins are the biggest favorites on Friday and are in a home contest vs. the Blue Jackets ranked 23rd in offense. He has been the main reason the Penguins have started the year with a 10-5 record. He has put up a .931 save % and his own record is 8-5. Look for a strong outing fro Fleury and the Pens at home on Friday.
Nicklas Backstrom - Center, Captials (DraftKings - $6,800 FanDuel - $6,200)
His price has started to climb after a late start to the season for Backstrom. He is already back to his point a game performance with 12 points in his first 12 games . The Caps are home to the Flames Friday night who are allowing the most goals per game(3.82) in the league.
Phil Kessel - Winger, Penguins (DraftKings - $7,300 FanDuel - $7,900)
He comes in at a huge savings from top winger, Alex Ovechkin, and provides close to the same upside on Friday. He has points in seven of his last eight games and is 17th in the league with an average of 19.7 shot attempts per 60 minutes of ice time. The Penguins are in a favorable matchup vs. the Blue Jackets who are 29th in the NHL in goals allowed per game.
Gustav Nyquist - Winger, Red Wings (DraftKings - $5,200 FanDuel - $5,700)
With Pavel Datsyuk making his season debut on Friday night, the Red Wings look to form a second line of young guns with Nyquist, Tatar, and Larkin. All three guys have had success at points in the season and will now look to build a chemistry together as the Wings get stronger.
Johnny Boychuk - Defense, Islanders (DraftKings - $5,400 FanDuel - $5,500)
Has been a fairly disappointing start to the season for Boychuk with only eight points in 17 games. On the plus side he has been a plus rating player and has fired 49 shots on net to this point. His powerplay minutes have been cut by almost 2/3 of what he played last season, so as those numbers start to rise so should the production.
