Welcome to the Daily Fantasy Hockey (NHL DFS) lineup picks article for February 11th of the 2015/2016 NHL season. Each day we'll be providing you with a handful of forward, defensemen, and goaltender picks for DraftKings and FanDuel GPP and cash games.
It's another busy Thursday night in the NHL with nine games on the schedule. The Ottawa Senators are the only team playing on back to back nights and the Anaheim Ducks are the only team laying a third game in four nights on their current seven game road trip. There are plenty of goalie options tonight and so far only Bernier(TOR) and Ramo(CGY) have been confirmed.

NHL DFS Picks for Wednesday, February 11th
A couple strategy notes. For cash game construction look for players who can contribute to your score when they are not providing offense. Examples are guys who take a ton of shots, defensemen who block a lot of shots(DraftKings). Also, look for guys who get powerplay time and especially Top 6 forwards. You can find value in players who join a new line due to an injury or just get a promotion and more ice time.
For large field tournaments (GPP's) you want to find payers who have multi point upside and can grab double digit fantasy points. To stack the most upside in your forwards a common strategy is to punt the defense position. This doesn't mean just grab anyone. Try and look for a D man who will be playing more PP time or might get a boost in overall playing time due to an injury.
Let's take a look at some solid plays for today's action.
Martin Jones - Goaltender, Sharks (DraftKings - $7,300 FanDuel - $8,100)
Has been playing great for the Sharks over his last 10 games with a 7-2-1 record and .925 save percentage. He can definitely experience the blow up game every now and then but also sits second in the league in shutouts(5) so the upside is also there. He makes a great value in GPP tournaments.
Connor McDavid - Center, Oilers (Draftkings - $6,500 FanDuel - $6,900)
After missing two months to injury he returned in what appears to be peak form for the Oilers. He has recorded points(7) in four of his five games since returning to the lineup. The Oilers are a young team on the rise that will need McDavid to take them to the next level the rest of the year and into the future.
Evander Kane - Winger, Sabres (DraftKings - $6,300 FanDuel - $7,100)
He is coming off a very unique game in which he scored a goal and tallied a hat trick of fights for a total of 29 penalty minutes. Beyond the fights he offers a very high floor as he has averaged around 5.5 shots per game over his last 10 games. The offensive production has been disappointing this year but leaves a lot more upside to be accessed.
Tomas Hertl - Winger, Sharks (DraftKings - $4,800 FanDuel - $4,500)
If you are looking for a value option at wing with upside look no further. Hertl has skated on the top line with Joe Thornton and Joe Pavelski since early January and picked up 11 of his 26 total points in that time. He might go low owned tonight as the Hertl and the Joe's have cooled off lately but sit in a great spot to break out tonight vs. the Flames who rank 26th in goals allowed per game.
Shayne Gostisbehere - Defense, Flyers (DraftKings - $5,300 FanDuel - $5,100)
Until his price reaches $6K + he is as close to a must play D man as there is in the industry. He comes into this great home matchup vs. the Sabres having picked up points(12 in total) in nine straight games. He offers a high floor as he averages over 2 shots a game and provides a high ceiling as the quarterback on the Flyers powerplay.
