RotoCole’s Daily Fantasy Baseball Lineup Advice: April 11th Edition
In the preseason, we brought you Daily League Strategy Part 1 and Part 2. Now, all season long, I will be giving you my advice on who to start in your daily fantasy lineups. Initially, this advice will cater to those who play on Fanduel. They offer some of the best gaming options for beginners, intermediate, and expert level players. Our job here at RotoBaller is to make your daily fantasy gaming experience a fun and successful one. Whether you are new to the daily fantasy scene or have been playing for years, our columns will be up-to-date and useful for all levels of experience. Ladies (one or two reading this) and gentlemen, here is your late game Daily Fantasy Baseball lineup advice for the late games on April 11th, 2013:
Thursday's Top Play: C Buster Posey ($3,500) - Posey found his stroke yesterday going 3-5 in the Giants 10-0 win over the cubbies. His price doesn't reflect last night's performance, so I will gladly start him at his discounted rate.
RotoCole's FanDuel Lineup:
P: Ryan Vogelsong ($6,000) - His offense is hot, the team he's facing is not. It may be tempting to start Aceves at his ultra-cheap price but playing him is like buying a lottery ticket. Vogelsong and Haren are good options at 6K. They were rained out yesterday so the weather remains a concern. Check frequently.
C: Buster Posey ($3,500) - Went 3-5 yesterday and faces a very average pitcher in Scott Feldman.
1B: Adrian Gonzalez ($4,100) - Hasn't been great in his career against Marquis but hasn't been awful either. I like Gonzalez's chances of busting out today.
2B: Howie Kendrick ($3,700) - It's a righty-righty matchup but I like Kendrick more than most 2B today.
3B: Jeff Keppinger ($2,500) - Super cheap and has a 8-16 career line against Dan Haren.
SS: Manny Machado ($3,100) - Starting Manny is so much fun. Even when its Machado and not Ramirez. But seriously, start Machado at this price.
OF: Josh Hamilton ($3,900) - He is now under $4k and I believe today is the day he busts out of his slump.
OF: Raul Ibanez ($3,300) - That Raul is so hot right now. At $3.3K he is hard to sit.
OF: Adam Jones ($4,900) - He has a hit in every game this season. I am convinced if he goes 0-4 today that I am cursed.
Remember, Vogelsong and Posey will be playing in some rainy conditions and a postponement is always possible. Be ready to adjust accordingly.
