Ladies (one or two reading this) and gentlemen, here is your late game Daily Fantasy Baseball lineup advice for the late games on April 12th, 2013:
How did we do yesterday?
Our Lineup Card took 6th out of 50 in the 50/50 league we were in. Ryan Vogelsong struggled but his offense provided enough runs that he still picked up the win and gave us 11 FPs. Other top picks were Adrian Gonzalez, Adam Jones and Manny Machado. Hopefully today's lineup finishes top 5.
TGIF Play of the Day: OF Carlos Beltran ($3,500) - Went 1-3 with a HR yesterday and will face Kyle Lohse today. That is terrible, terrible news for Lohse. Beltran is 22-39 in his career against Lohse with 6 doubles, 4 homers, 12 RBIs, 11 BBs and 5 steals. He really isn't that expensive either. You aren't going to find three better options in the outfield so start the man!
Best Pitching Options:
1. Top Tier - Clayton Kershaw ($9,900) - The LeBron of pitching. He faces a pretty lackluster offense and the Dodgers are PO-ed right now. I expect LAD's ace to shut Arizona down tonight.
2. Middle of the Road - Tommy Hanson ($6,600) - He faces Houston...so that's why he is a good start.
3. Bottom of the Barrel - Mike Leake ($4,900) - He is the best of the cheap options and the most reliable for a quality start.
RotoCole's FanDuel Lineup:
P: Clayton Kershaw ($9,900) - With Kershaw, you usually get what you pay for. Tonight should be no different.
C: Buster Posey ($3,500) - I just like Posey a lot...and he went 0-4 last night. Posey hasn't had back to back 0-? nights this season.
1B: Lyle Overbay ($2,300) - Went 3-5 last game and is dirt cheap, which is necessary when you spend almost 1/3 of your cap on Kershaw.
2B: Alexi Casilla ($2,900) - Would you believe Casilla is 12-21 in his career against Sabathia? I didn't either but apparently he is. He is one of the cheapest options and hopefully he has continued success against CC.
3B: Trevor Plouffe ($3,500) - Has a hit in each of his last three games including a triple yesterday. Today he faces Mets lefty Jonathon Niese.
SS: J.J. Hardy ($3,300) - A career 6-14 against CC and a nice cheap option at SS.
OF: Carlos Beltran ($3,500) - Should be in every single lineup out there today. He absolutely crushes Lohse.
OF: Ichiro Suzuki ($3,100) - Hitting well lately and faces RHP Miguel Gonzalez, whom he is 2-6 with a homer against in his career.
OF: Brett Gardner ($2,900) - An absolute steal at his price. He should see five at bats in the leadoff spot and could provide huge value for your lineup.
