Daily League Fantasy Baseball Lineup Card: April 24, 2013

In the preseason, we brought you Daily League Strategy Part 1 and Part 2. Now, all season long, I will be giving you my advice on whom to start in your daily fantasy lineups. For now, this advice will cater to those who play on Fanduel.  They offer some of the best gaming options for beginners, intermediate, and expert level players. Our job here at RotoBaller is to make your daily fantasy gaming experience a fun and successful one. Whether you are new to the daily fantasy scene or have been playing for years, our columns will be up-to-date and useful for all levels of experience. If you are new to the scene, tweet me at @RotoCole and I will personally show you the ropes. Let’s win together.

Yesterday, we hosted the first ever RotoBaller Beat the Experts Challenge on Fandel.  One of our resident RotoBaller experts was the contest winner, @endipott, and he broke the 50-point barrier by rostering some very solid play from a few super-cheap players, including great performances from John Jaso (C) and Howie Kendrick (2B).  Congratulations to @endipott, and thanks to all who participated!  We're looking forward to next weeks contest; if you'd like to reserve a spot, tweet us @RotoBaller.

And now without further ado, here is your late game Daily Fantasy Baseball lineup advice for April 24th, 2013:

RotoCole's Fanduel Lineup:

P: Marco Estrada ($6,600) - He may be the most under-appreciated pitcher in daily fantasy. The guy has good stuff and piles up quality start after quality start. I LOVE him (so much that I might marry him) tonight against San Diego.
Alex Avila 2010C: Alex Avila ($2,600) - Has two career hits off Wade Davis, and both were home runs. Oh, and the 2,600 price tag doesn't hurt.
1B: Travis Hafner ($3,900) - My man-crush for Pronk continues, in part because he is from North Dakota but mostly because he MASHES right-handed pitching.
2B: Robinson Cano ($4,700) - Has homered twice in his career against Alex Cobb. I don't doubt he hits number three tonight.
3B: Adrian Beltre ($3,800) - Will face unproven Angels' lefty Michael Roth. This is one of my favorite matchups of the day.
SS: Elvis Andrus ($3,500) - Draws the same nice matchup as his buddy Beltre.
OF: Brett Gardner ($3,300) - Gardner is one of my favorite plays. Always seems to find a way to go positive and never costs too much. If he is facing a righty not named Verlander or Hernandez, I'm starting him.
OF: Ichiro Suzuki ($2,900) - He is dirt cheap and should get a few base knocks, with maybe some runs and a stolen base tonight.
OF: Nelson Cruz ($3,500) - I am deeming Cruz as "most likely to homer tonight." He is an obvious must start.
