In the preseason, we brought you Daily League Strategy Part 1 and Part 2. Now, all season long, I will be giving you my advice on whom to start in your daily fantasy lineups. For now, this advice will cater to those who play on Fanduel. They offer some of the best gaming options for beginners, intermediate, and expert level players. Our job here at RotoBaller is to make your daily fantasy gaming experience a fun and successful one. Whether you are new to the daily fantasy scene or have been playing for years, our columns will be up-to-date and useful for all levels of experience. If you are new to the scene, tweet me at @RotoCole and I will personally show you the ropes. Let’s win together. Ladies (one or two reading this) and gentlemen, here is your late game Daily Fantasy Baseball lineup advice for all games on April 30th, 2013:
Must Start: OF Andy Dirks ($2,500) - He busted out of his slump yesterday (2-3, HR, RBI, BB) and today he faces a pitcher who is even worse than Mike Pelfrey. Considering his low price and high potential, he should be in everybody's lineup.
Must Sit: OF Josh Hamilton ($3,300) - He is incredibly cheap, but don't fall for him. He is 0-10 with 7 K against Jarrod Parker in his career. That is one of the most unusual BvP stats I've ever seen.
RotoCole's Primary Fanduel Lineup:
P: Marco Estrada ($6,600) - Facing a depleted Pirates lineup that has struggled as of late, Estrada continues to be underpriced and is the best mid-range salary option today. Some may roll with Kuroda, but I don't like him today after Houston dominated his teammate Andy Pettite.
C: Matt Weiters ($3,400) - Hit a two run bomb yesterday and faces my least favorite pitcher ever, Brandon Mauerer.
1B: Prince Fielder ($4,700) - Also hit a bomb yesterday and draws a pitcher who has no business pitching in the big leagues, Vance Worley.
2B: Howie Kendrick ($3,500) - Not a great history against Jarrod Parker (2-13) but he has a hit in 10 0f his last 11 games and Parker has been awful thus far.
3B: Miguel Cabrera ($4,900) - Fielder and Cabrera are always so expensive, but they are almost always worth the hefty price. Today, against Vance Worley, they both should have incredible performances.
SS: Everth Cabrera ($3,300) - In 7 career at bats against Edwin Jackson, he has a double and a triple. I like him today against the Wildman Jackson.
OF: Jordan Schafer ($2,800) - Reached base in all four at-bats yesterday and stole two bases. He's cheap and I want his steals.
OF: Andy Dirks ($2,500) - After struggling all season, Dirks broke out yesterday reaching base 3 of 4 times and homering.
OF: Brett Gardner ($3,300) - Will face mediocre righty Phillip Humber and they Yanks will get their revenge tonight. I expect a big game from Gardner.
