ROSTERED: 41% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: If you consider yourself a good fantasy GM, this post won't surprise you. It made some sense to drop Goedert back in September's end when he fell down injured and was put in IR, but you'd be not very intelligent if you're not targeting him today given his probable comeback in time for this Thursday's showdown against the Giants.
Even if Goedert ultimately misses the game (it's up to HC Doug Pederson at this point), you should add him no matter what. Ertz had to leave Philly's Sunday game earlier injured, and Goedert was already the better play when both were active. In three games played, Goedert is averaging 10.9 PPR points (TE12) to Ertz's 8.3 in his six games. Goedert has 32.8 combined points in comparison to Ertz's 49.8 in half the games and 33% of the latter's snaps.
The last time Goedert was on a field he could only go for 6 plays, thus is measly 1.7 PPR outcome. In Weeks 1 and 2, though, Goedert logged 9 and 8 targets catching 8 and 4 of them respectively. He reached 101 yards (and a TD) and 30 yards in those matches. Ertz is starting to look droppable, and although Goedert is undoubtedly the future of the team at the TE position, that future might have already arrived. Must-add in every league.
