Dallas Goedert (TE, PHI) - Week 8 Waiver Wire Pickups

ANALYSIS: After putting up his best game of the year to date, Dallas Goedert is someone that is worth looking at from the waiver wire in deeper leagues. Zach Ertz continues to be a top option week in and week out, but really hasn’t been overly impressive this year. He has just one touchdown on the season and four his first seven games he’s totaled less than 57 yards and five receptions or fewer.

Goedert is not just a guy. He’s a very talented tight end who unfortuntately got stuck behind one of the best tight ends in the NFL in Ertz. He also has two touchdowns on the season while Ertz has just one, for what it’s worth. I’m not expecting Goedert to overtake Ertz by any means, but in deeper leagues where you’re likely streaming tight ends, he’s worth taking a shot on. Of course there’s always the upside that would come if god forbid something were to happen to Ertz.
