BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues
OWNED IN: 20% of leagues
ANALYSIS: Heading into the 2019 season, one of the more popular breakout candidates was the San Francisco 49ers Dante Pettis. After a strong showing towards the end of the 2018 season, we've seen nothing but disappointment from Pettis this year. He is currently the WR97 in PPR scoring heading into Week 6 with just over 13 fantasy points on the season. The 49ers pass-catchers are tough to predict and even George Kittle has been a bit of a disappointment this year. Still, as someone you can find off the waiver wire at this point, Pettis could be worth a look.
In Week 5, Pettis saw his highest offensive snap percentage of the season with 63%. The offense is clicking and could gradually involve him more. We heard the 49ers talking about how Pettis was struggling during the pre-season, but I don't think anyone was planning on him being this bad. Pettis is not worth starting but is someone that you can target on the waiver wire this year and stash at the bottom of your roster. If he does happen to come through as the WR1 in San Francisco, it'll be worth it if you can afford the roster spot.
