BALLER MOVE: Add in Deep Leagues
ANALYSIS: Darin Ruf has become the Phillies' everyday 1st baseman with Ryan Howard on the shelf. The Creighton product has recorded a hit in 11 out of 13 games, since receiving everyday at-bats. Today he went 2-for-4 with a HR, 2 RBIs and 2 Runs. Over the last 14 days, he's batting over .300 with 3 HRs, 6 RBIs and 7 Runs. Don't forget that Ruf hit 38 home runs at the Double-A level last year. He could provide owners with sneaky power off the wire, and even hit for average. Not surprisingly, all of Ruf's bombs have come at home run-friendly Citizens Bank Park. He should mostly be utilized in his home games, or when facing a homer prone starter, at least for now - making him extra useful in daily formats. But if Ruf keeps hitting like this, he'll be a must add in all league formats soon.
