BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues
OWNED IN: 5% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: My thoughts on Darrel Williams are directly tied to my thoughts on another subject: whatever is going on with LeSean McCoy.
McCoy was a healthy scratch for Sunday's game against the Titans, with the indication being that the team wanted to ensure McCoy was healthy down the stretch. But the NFL isn't the NBA, where you can easily rest stars for load management. Teams play just 16 games per year in the NFL, and if you think a player needs a scheduled rest day for an important mid-season game, you can't think that player is actually a key part of your team. To me, it feels like McCoy's fumble issues and decreased effectiveness have become an issue for the Chiefs.
If this is an indication that McCoy's role is trending down, there's room for Darrel Williams to make an impact. He had just three touches this week and played 21 percent of KC's snaps, so he's obviously not someone you run out and bet it all on, but with Damien Williams also losing a fumble and not looking particularly good this year, there's room for Andy Reid to turn elsewhere when it comes to handing the ball off. Maybe that's Darrel Williams, and if it is, maybe you grab him now in a 14-team league to be safe.
