ANALYSIS: One of the more frustrating backfields in fantasy football this year, has been the Kansas City Chiefs. Whether it has been veteran LeSean McCoy or Damien Williams, the backfield has been a bit tough to predict week in and week out. The appeal of course, is that the backfield is that of the Chiefs and Andy Reid’s offense. Reid has been known to heavily utilize his running backs in both the rushing and receiving game, and owners can’t ignore that.
One cheap way of getting a piece of that offense, is by picking up the second-year running back Darrel Williams. Williams hasn’t been involved much this year, and really wasn’t too involved in his rookie season either. That being said, you can’t ignore the upside that would come if one of these running backs would take over and become the lead back. You won’t be starting him, but the upside that comes with Williams makes him a nice waiver wire option to stash on your fantasy rosters.
